How Bimatoprost Eye Drops (Careprost) Work

Bimatoprost is a prostaglandin analogue that increases uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humor, thereby lowering IOP (intraocular pressure) and reducing the risk of optic nerve damage.

Directions for Use

1. Wash hands. Tilt head back and pull down the lower eyelid.

2. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it.

3. Instill the prescribed number of drops.

4. Remove contact lenses and wait 15 minutes before reinserting.

5. If using multiple eye medicines, leave 5–10 minutes between products.

6. Use once daily, preferably in the evening, or as advised by your doctor.

Safety & Side Effects
